Delivering Value to Our Clients, Our Operating Model

Every charity organization, just like a profit-driven business, has to deliver a product or service that creates value for its customers. Whether we call them customers, clients, or beneficiaries, this is the primary reason every organization exists.

Reducing costs, stretching each donation further, and increasing the impact has become a defining challenge for non-profit organizations today. The primary challenge we face is the competitive marketplace for non-profits. As the number of organizations increases, carving out a specific niche in the market becomes increasingly challenging.

Build a Strategically Aligned Operating Model

An operating model is the first layer in the foundation for the efficient execution of any organization’s mission. The operating model lays out the standardization processes of how an organization works, builds skills and delivers value to the customers.

Having a defined operating model helps determine our organizational behavior, workflow, process design, technology decisions, and how to deploy our capital (donations).

Inconsistency between an organization’s operating model and its broader objectives affects the day-to-day duties of its employees, creating an insurmountable inefficiency, leading to a waste of valuable donations. A strategically aligned operating model helps us to stretch how far each dollar goes.We have clarity about the “what” (the way our organization creates value through business loans and coaching) thus, able to define the “how” (the way to organize our identification process, the type of loans, and coaching to create value).

How do we deliver value to our clients?

Character: Our work begins with careful selection and vetting of entrepreneurs who show the desired character, thoughts, and attitude towards success in leading a small and growing business. We look for entrepreneurs who have faith in creating an impact for their employees, customers, and suppliers.

Capital: Small and growing businesses need affordable capital with flexible terms to spur growth and innovation. Tailor-made financing is the recipe to unlock the potential of these businesses.

Coaching: Research shows that one of the most effective ways to help a business grow is access to knowledge and other experienced entrepreneurs. We surround the entrepreneur with a pool of local and long-distance business advisors as a resource to help the entrepreneur make the best practical enterprise decisions.

Community: We aim to encourage and equip SGB leaders to support their local church and lean into a local community. We are helping these leaders become role models to their employees, customers, and even competitors.

This operating model is the blueprint that puts our capabilities at the heart of critical organizational elements that develop the roadmap for value delivery to our customers, the faith-driven entrepreneurs in developing economies.

We believe that the world is not as it should be. Tragedy and exploitation, anxiety, and depression mark society. Our commitment lies in providing an enduring solution to hunger, malnutrition, disease, and education by creating quality jobs.

At endPoverty, we believe God uses the work of his people to join in the restoration in and among individuals, communities, and institutions to contribute to flourishing rather than brokenness. This restoration is our duty, our call, and it is a core element of the Christian faith.

Therefore, we partner with faith-based organizations focused on business solutions to end poverty. I commit these partners to provide an enduring solution to hunger, malnutrition, disease, and education through self-help, income-generating projects. Our programs support people living in poor communities with the tools to build self-reliance and financial independence.
